oh happy day!

I'm done piecing the strips for my spiderweb blocks. I have a *few* strips leftover. (Actually, a basket full.) They would work in any string quilt. If you want a chance to win them, leave me a comment on this post. I'll pick a name on Tuesday. One comment per person please.

I am making my first quilt in 25 years, with only two other hand tied quilts under my belt previous to this one. I joined your 2nd round quilt along. You are my inspiration. I have 12 blocks made as of today and have 12 more cut out. So I am a little ahead and I thought I would be hopelessly behind. One block a day is so manageable. I am going to sew the next 12 one block one per day. My nine patch is made with 3" x 3" squares. I thought I would find this easier and I do. I read up how to achieve straight seams. They are getting much better. I would love to be better at rotary cutting. Oh well one thing at a time Rome wasn't built in a day. Thank You Amanda Jean. Above all else doing this helps me feel good about myself.

I believe it was your blog where I first saw a spiderweb strip quilt and I knew then that I loved it and eventually wanted to make one! Granted, I have lots of scraps of my own, but none are already in strip shape and it would be such a treat to work with someone elses scraps....just like having new fabric!!! Please put my name in the mix! Thanks,
Jenn
